What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis has been used as an aid to healing since the dawn of mankind. It is an entirely normal mental state, experienced by everyone every day, usually when passing into, or awakening from sleep, or while concentrating on a specific task to the exclusion of everything else.

A person under hypnosis is neither unconscious nor asleep, they are in a very relaxed state. Their thinking mind is quietened, and their immediate anxieties are dispersed – yet their general awareness is heightened and their capacity to communicate through speech is not impaired.

As a medium for therapy, hypnosis is unsurpassed because it is entirely non-addictive, immediately beneficial from the relaxation it provides and because no drugs or invasive inducements are used. The beneficial uses of hypnosis:

Hypno-therapy

This is a very effective with problems such as SMOKING and WEIGHT CONTROL. By using relaxation techniques to bypass the conscious mind it is possible to give positive suggestions which are acceptable to the subconscious mind. These suggestions reinforce the conscious resolve to overcome negative habits or reactions.

PRE-EXAMINATION NERVES and DRIVING TEST FEARS also respond well to this form of therapy.

Hypno-analysis

The only effective method of relieving deep seated problems permanently is to find the ’cause.’ It is not sufficient to treat a symptom, the cause must be found to enable a cure.

Phobias, Lack of Confidence, Stress, Personal and Sexual Problems, Eating Disorders, Migraine, PMT and many other blocks to personal happiness are treated through analysis.

Life Path Analysis

Background.

Many people have benefited from psychoanalysis or prolonged counselling but sometimes these are noteffective or viable solutions to life’s problems.

In the course of my work I came to understand that many of the problems that effect our present life experience are due to subconscious reactions to past events. The mind develops many protective mechanisms to help guard us against trauma but sometimes these safeguards become obsolete or are no longer appropriate as we mature. As a result our subconscious reactions often manifest as fears or phobias, shyness and lack of confidence and many other negative traits.

What is Life Path Analysis?

To explain Life path Analysis I use the analogy of life as a journey; every journey is made up of events that effect the traveller. Delays, diversions, lost luggage etc will all have an impact on the journeys outcome and the traveller’s state on arrival at their destination.
Using hypnosis and the creative resources of the subconscious mind we are able to create a ‘map’ of the journey so far. The map is punctuated with the events that have caused concern along the way, by examining and analysing these we are able to understand the connection they have with present life issues.

We then go through a process of ‘breaking down’ the obstacle and releasing the resultant anxiety.
How long does it take?

Life Path Analysis can usually be completed in between 6 and 10 sessions.

Healing with Hypnosis

The body and mind are inseparable in the life process. It is well known that many physical ailments have a psychological origin and that a positive attitude tends to aid healing and recovery.

Hypnosis is a very effective tool in galvanising the mind and body’s resources to affect the return to normal function.

NLP

NLP is the study of how people organise their thinking, feeling, language and behaviour to produce the results they do. The co-creators’ of NLP, John Grinder & Richard Bandler had a great desire to discover and replicate the patterns of the best performers’ behaviour and teach others to do the same, creating a short cut to years of development and learning of the experts. This process is called modelling and is at the core of NLP.

Neuro Linguistic Programming is about understanding the structure of how the human nervous system (neuro) transforms data received through the 5 senses into mental descriptions (linguistic) and then unconscious behaviour (programming).” With NLP, you have a model for understanding the unconscious thinking processes that drive behaviour. This has two enormous benefits, firstly you can easily learn to do what others are doing well, and model it. Secondly you can identify the limiting patterns in yourself and others and use NLP patterning to move on.

Modelling is at the core of much of NLP, then there are the patterns and techniques which originate from the modelling projects. NLP patterns are a synthesis of powerful change interventions, language models, and behavioural designs based on self-improvement and achieving excellence. The NLP patterns have been modelled from geniuses who were getting amazing results working in the field of psychiatry, psychology, and psychotherapy. Grinder and Bandler had little prior knowledge of this field yet soon found that they too could get equally amazing results as the people they modelled in a fraction of the time.
Used in conjuction with other therapeuptic processes NLP in a powerul tool in creating dynamic beneficial changes in many areas of experience.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). What is EFT?

EFT was discovered and developed by Gary Craige (www.emofree.com) and has provided thousands with relief from pain, diseases and emotional issues.  Simply stated, it is a unique version of acupuncture except you don’t use needles. Instead, you stimulate well established energy meridian points on your body by tapping on them with your fingertips. The process is easily to memorized and is portable so you can do it anywhere. It launches off the EFT Discovery Statement which says…

The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system.

And because our physical pains and diseases are so obviously connected with our emotions the following statement has also proven to be true…

Our unresolved negative emotions are major contributors to most physical pains and diseases.

This common sense approach draws its power from (1) time-honored Eastern discoveries that have been around for over 5,000 years and (2) Albert Einstein, who told us back in the 1920’s that everything (including our bodies) is composed of energy. These ideas have been largely ignored by Western Healing Practices and that is why EFT often works where nothing else will. It’s not that EFT is so stunning (although it may certainly appear that way to you). Rather, it is because conventional healing methods have simply overlooked the obvious. You will see that clearly as you allow EFT to bring freedom into your life where you thought none was possible.

I have used EFT as part of the treatment of many issues and found it to be extremely beneficial in most cases.
Since starting my practice in 1990 I have refined and developed many techniques to help my clients to overcome their limitations. During an initial assessment consultation I will explain more fully how the processes work and the expected results.
